    1. Thanks for the nomination. I had already received it and have needed to follow up with nominating others. Pray for me. I’m so lethargic these days. It’s hard for me to even post. But I’m praying and earnestly seeking God for answers to the lethargy problem. It may be my meds. I’m trying to wean off some of them, though. Be blessed, dear friend.

      1. I know how you feel, I’ve been trying to move to more natural meds, but keep getting sick and having new meds added to my list. They keep me up all night, and worn out all day. After a while those meds can make me drag to a point I just need to take off from everything and just rest. I say a prayer for you, but get some rest. It may be that God is telling you that your body needs it, to recharge and just rest in him.

        1. Oh, precious friend, you don’t know what your words mean to me. I can’t go to sleep for so long, sometimes not until 8:00 or so the next morning. I feel my nights and days are so messed up. Really depressing. God’s world is so beautiful with the light beaming around, and I feel like I miss so much of it. I’m on Effexor XR 37.5 mg. I’ve been reading about the side effects. High blood pressure (so I have to take hbp meds), insomnia, weight gain, irritability, ad nauseum. At one time the drs had me on 475 mg./ day. I’ve been on these meds for 12 years; so tired of not feeling like the “earlier years me”. The nightmares are so exhausting. So I never feel rested. I feel like I’m watching my life run by me in fast forward. I’m 69 and married to a wonderful, totally accepting and loving 36 year old man, for almost 9 years now. He is so supportive and accommodating and I hate that our life is so overshadowed by this stupidity of meds, or whatever it is. Thanks for the prayers. Your support is amazing! 🙂

          1. I have a question for you…have you been tested for fibromyalgia? People who have osteo-arthritis, rheumotoil arthritis, lupus, or have had a severe trauma in their lives, like a car accident, physical abuse, or even PTSD can develop fibromyalgia. The reason I ask is because your symptoms are much like mine. My trauma was physical abuse throughout my life and a serious car accident where I was trapped in my car. My symptoms took a while to show up, but did when the disks in my neck began leaking from the damage to them. They squeezed the nerves that run from my neck to my fingers, actually damaging the nerves to my left hand until they were dead, leaving 3 of my fingers without feeling at all, and both hands weak from the nerves that were damaged. My arms swelled to a point that the inflammation sqeezed the nerves that were not affected. My husband had to take me into the hospital, where they almost had to cut my wedding rings off my fingers because they were splitting the skin. They finally got them off, but I still can’t wear them because of how fibro makes my arms swell up. There are many symptoms besides those…insomnia at night, and feeling drained all day, breathing difficulties from inflammation in your muscles, lots of pain, mood swings, depression, skin sensitivity, and more. I often tell people that if they slammed a hammar down on their hand while it layed on a table, multiply it by 10 times and that is what a fibro patient feels like when they are dealing with their normal pain on a bad day. On a good day it can feel like the aches that you get with the flu but doubled. It’s affected by the weather, and people often struggle in the winter time, and the fall, unless you are going through Menopause and the heat gets to you, because it will make your skin feel like you have a permanent poison ivy rash with pain. It can cause you blood pressure to act up, cause eye and lung problems. If this sounds like you, then you should be checked for it. It is found predominantly in women, but many men are starting to find out they have it too. I’m just wondering because when I hear someone who seems to be dealing with the same things I have gone through, or feel like sometimes, I wonder if they know it is a possibility…especially since even some doctors don’t know what fibro is , have never dealt with a patient with the symptoms You should get checked out just in case.

            1. You have interesting insight! Godly insight!

I was diagnosed 4 years ago with fibromyalgia.

I am also “blessed” to have Borderline Personality Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, PTSD, Seasonal Affective Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, and am bipolar.

I say “blessed” because God has allowed me to truly understand folks who suffer from the same disorders. It’s often an avenue in which God takes me to relate and help others.

I have been realizing lately how ALL these things affect me, but I still think the meds have many side effects that are now outweighing the positive effects of the meds themselves. Since I’ve weaned from 475 mg to 37.5 mg of the Effexor, with God’s help I know I can become more productive and “alive” to get rid of the bad side effects of the meds.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out, and feel my suffering. It has been very encouraging to hear from you today.

God bless you as you continue to minister to so many. 🙂
